Assemblies

At Hawkedale Primary School we think it is important that children gather together and share learning experiences.  

Each morning we hold an assembly:

Monday - Singing assembly - where we learn the song of the week

Tuesday and Thursday - moral /religious/cultural story based assembly based on the weekly theme

Wednesday - language of the term assembly

Friday - Celebration assembly, it is important that children should be celebrated for their learning, their efforts and achievements. 

In addition to these assemblies, each class in the school hosts an annual Class Assembly to perform in front of their parents and the whole school. These assemblies are based on their learning. We also have a Harvest festival and Easter assembly usually held at St Mary’s church. The dates for these assemblies are in the diary dates for the year and also in the newsletters.
