Start and End of Day arrangements
The school gates open at 8.30am and a member of staff will be at each gate ready to greet the children and take any messages you may have for the staff.
School begins with registration at 8.40 am, this 10 minutes gives the children time to say their goodbyes, change their reading books, hang up their coats and put away their fruit.
Children need to be in class and ready for learning by 8.40am.
It is important that you are punctual as children miss valuable learning time if they are regularly late. It can also trigger a visit from the Education Inclusion Officer. If children arrive after the close of register at 9.00am then they are marked as being absent for the morning session.
If you are going to be late for whatever reason, please call the office and let us know as we can then book your child a school lunch and mark the register accordingly.
If your child is going to be absent from school due to illness please could you let the office know before 9.15am.
A leave of absence is only granted for exceptional circumstances and if an application is made in advance. An application form can be obtained from the school office.
Doctor and dentist appointments during the school day should be avoided.
A copy of the appointment letter or card is required to authorise the leave of absence.
School finishes at 3 pm for EYFS and KS1 children and 3.10pm for KS2 children. The children are to be collected from the playground from their class teachers.
